HANDS AT WORK: HANDS ON NEW ORLEANS WORKS WITH ORGANIZATIONS OF ALL SIZES TO ENGAGE EMPLOYEES IN COMMUNITY SERVICE. OUR PROJECTS PROVIDE A MEANINGFUL SERVICE EXPERIENCE THAT FOSTERS A SENSE OF TEAMWORK, COLLABORATION, AND ACHIEVEMENT FOR EMPLOYEES; WHILE GIVING CRITICAL SUPPORT AND RESOURCES TO SCHOOLS, NEIGHBORHOODS, AND NON-PROFITS THROUGHOUT NEW ORLEANS. HANDS AT WORK MAKES IT EASY FOR ORGANIZATIONS TO GET OUT OF THE OFFICE AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE BY PROVIDING ALL-INCLUSIVE MANAGEMENT OF THE SERVICE PROJECT.
COVID-19: HANDS ON NEW ORLEANS BUILDS THE CAPACITY OF GOVERNMENT, FOUNDATIONS, CORPORATIONS, AND NONPROFIT PARTNERS BY BUILDING STRONG COALITIONS THAT PROVIDE HOLISTIC COMMUNITY RELIEF EFFORTS, INCLUDING FOOD SECURITY PROGRAMS, NEEDS ASSESSMENTS, AND EMERGING VOLUNTEER SUPPORT EFFORTS LIKE MASS VACCINATION.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: HANDS ON NEW ORLEANS HOSTS CITIZENS FROM AROUND THE WORLD, AS WELL AS PROVIDES SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES FOR CITIZENS IN THE NEW ORLEANS COMMUNITY. VOLUNTEERS ARE CONNECTED TO LOCALLY LED VOLUNTEER PROJECTS AND ARE PROVIDED WITH THE TOOLS NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT.
DISASTER MANAGEMENT: HANDS ON NEW ORLEANS RECRUITS AND TRAINS VOLUNTEERS TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS; TO ASSIST WITH A MANDATORY CITY-ASSISTED EVACUATION BY STAFFING A NEIGHBORHOOD EVACUATION CENTER, AND TO PROVIDE VOLUNTEER AND DONATION MANAGEMENT SERVICES IN THE AFTERMATH OF A NATURAL DISASTER.
