THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY TAX-EXEMPT PURPOSE IS TO CARE FOR ORPHANED AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN IN NORTHERN UGANDA BY PROVIDING A HOME, FOOD, MEDICAL CARE AND AN EDUCATION TO THEM.

UNCLE FRED'S HOUSE SGU CONTINUES TO PRIORITIZE CARE AND RESCUE OF STREET CHILDREN IN NORTHERN UGANDA. 68 STREET CHILDREN WERE TAKEN OFF THE STREET TO A HOME AND RECONCILED WITH FAMILIES AND HUNDREDS OF STREET CHILDREN HEARD THE GOSPEL. APPROXIMATELY 1,000 STREET CHILDREN RECEIVED MEDICAL ASSISTANCE, INCLUDING SEVERAL WHO WERE HOSPITALIZED. EIGHT STREET CHILDREN LOST THEIR LIVES THIS YEAR, AND SGU ASSISTED WITH THEIR BURIAL. APPROXIMATELY 400 STREET CHILDREN RECEIVED REGULAR MEALS WEEKLY. 15 RESCUED STREET CHILDREN IN THE HANDS UP PROGRAM GRADUATED FROM VOCATIONAL SCHOOL. THREE ADDITIONAL MOTORBIKES WERE PURCHASED TO ASSIST IN STREET KIDS MINISTRY. GRANTS FOR THIS PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENT WERE UTILIZED AS FOLLOWS: COMMUNICATIONS 5,485 FOOD 19,080 MEDICAL 23,507 PERSONAL EFFECTS 12,746 TRANSPORTATION 41,167 TUITION 81,978 STREET CHILDREN EVENTS 39,748


SAVING GRACE CHILDREN'S VILLAGE IN 2022, SCHOOLS WERE COMPLETELY OPEN AND 850 CHILDREN ENROLLED IN SAVING GRACE PRIMARY SCHOOL FROM ALL ACROSS UGANDA. 673,200 MEALS WERE SERVED AT OUR VILLAGE TO STUDENTS, STAFF, AND RESIDENT CHILDREN. 29 SGU VILLAGE CHILDREN GRADUATED FROM OUR PROGRAM AND WERE RESETTLED IN THEIR COMMUNITIES. 17 SGU VILLAGE CHILDREN CONTINUED THEIR EDUCATION IN HIGH SCHOOL. 10 SGU VILLAGE CHILDREN CONTINUED THEIR EDUCATION IN VOCATIONAL SCHOOL OR COLLEGE. ONE OF OUR FIRST RESCUED STREET BOYS GRADUATED WITH A CERTIFICATE IN NURSING. SCHOOL CLASSROOMS AND VILLAGE HOMES RECEIVED THIRTY CHILDREN'S STORY BIBLES. 32 SGU VILLAGE CHILDREN WERE BAPTIZED AND 300 PEOPLE IN THE SURROUNDING VILLAGES HEARD THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST. A ROUGH DIRT DRIVEWAY WAS PAVED, AND A DRAINAGE SYSTEM WAS INSTALLED TO MAINTAIN THE INTEGRITY OF THE BUILDINGS. A BUILDING THAT CAN SEAT 200 WAS CONSTRUCTED FOR PRESCHOOL REST TIMES, CHURCH SERVICES AND OTHER MEETINGS. A MUCH-NEEDED LATRINE WITH FLUSH TOILETS WAS BUILT FOR THE GIRLS LIVING IN THE CHILDREN'S HOMES. SGU'S AGRICULTURE PROGRAM EXPANDED TO INCLUDE 60 PIGS, 20 GOATS, 57 CHICKENS AND 5 COWS. A PAIR OF PIGS WAS GIVEN TO EACH STUDENT GRADUATING FROM THE SGU PROGRAM. THE COWS PROVIDE DAILY MILK FOR ALL THE STUDENTS AT SGU PRIMARY SCHOOL. THE FISH FARM BEGAN PRODUCING FISH FOR CHILDREN AND STAFF. CORN, CASSAVA, PEPPERS, AND OTHER SEASONAL VEGETABLES WERE GROWN TO TRAIN CHILDREN IN FARMING TECHNIQUES AND IMPROVE THE CHILDREN'S DIET. BANANA TREES WERE PLANTED ON A ONE-ACRE PLOT TO BE USED FOR FOOD AND INCOME. SGU IS ENCOURAGING ALL STAFF AND CHILDREN TO LEARN TO BECOME SELF-SUPPORTING. WE ARE HAPPY WITH THEIR CONTINUED SUCCESS. GRANTS FOR THIS PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENT WERE UTILIZED AS FOLLOWS: BUILDING 37,556 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM 1,618 FARMING 8,034 UGANDAN ADMIN EXPENSES 17,745 UGANDAN SALARIES 62,991
