THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY TAX-EXEMPT PURPOSE IS TO CARE FOR ORPHANED AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN IN NORTHERN UGANDA BY PROVIDING A HOME, FOOD, MEDICAL CARE AND AN EDUCATION TO THEM.

UNCLE FRED'S HOUSE SGU CONTINUES TO PROVIDE FOOD, CLOTHING, MEDICAL CARE, AND ADVOCACY FOR APPROXIMATELY 400 CHILDREN STILL LIVING ON THE STREETS OF LIRA, UGANDA. IN 2021 SGU INCREASED THE FEEDING PROGRAM FOR STREET KIDS IN ATTEMPT TO REDUCE HUNGER AND VIOLENCE AMONG AND TOWARDS THE STREET CHILDREN. THREE MOTORBIKES WERE PURCHASED FOR STAFF TO BE ABLE TO ATTEND TO STREET KIDS PROGRAM, TAKE KIDS BACK TO THEIR HOME AND FOLLOW-UP WITH COUNSELING. THE SGU CHILDREN'S HOMES RECEIVED OFFICIAL ORPHANAGE STATUS FROM THE UGANDA GOVERNMENT. DUE TO GOVERNMENT REQUIREMENTS, CHILDREN OVER 18 WERE RE- INTEGRATED TO LIVE PRIMARILY WITH EXTENDED FAMILY, WHILE STILL RECEIVING SUPPORT FOR THEIR EDUCATION FROM SGU. THE NUMBER OF CHILDREN LIVING IN SGU CHILDREN'S HOMES WAS REDUCED TO 40. TEN MORE CHILDREN WERE RESCUED FROM LIVING ON THE STREETS. DUE TO COVID PANDEMIC, SCHOOLS WERE NOT OPEN FOR YOUNGER CHILDREN AND HOME TUTORING AND LIFE SKILL TRAINING CONTINUED. TWO DAIRY COWS WERE PURCHASED TO PROVIDE MILK FOR THE CHILDREN AND THE PIGGERY PROJECT EXPANDED. A NEW MEDICAL CLINIC, WITH TWO EXAM ROOMS, A MEDICINE STORAGE/LAB ROOM AND A RECEPTION AREA WERE BUILT NEAR THE CHILDREN'S HOMES. GRANTS FOR THIS PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENT WERE UTILIZED AS FOLLOWS: COMMUNICATIONS 3,337 FOOD 22,390 MEDICAL 13,746 PERSONAL EFFECTS 12,533 TRANSPORTATION 22,591 TUITION 47,270 STREET CHILDREN EVENTS 18,609 SUPPLIES 466


SAVING GRACE CHILDREN'S VILLAGE DUE TO COVID PANDEMIC, SCHOOLS IN UGANDA WERE ONLY PARTIALLY OPEN AND SGU STAFF CONTINUED TO PROVIDE IN HOME TUTORING FOR PRIMARY AND SECONDARY STUDENTS. THE CANDIDATE CLASSES WERE ALLOWED TO ATTEND SCHOOL AND SGU PRIMARY SCHOOL WAS RECOGNIZED BY THE GOVERNMENT FOR HAVING THE HIGHEST PERCENTAGE OF P-7 STUDENTS WHO PASSED THE GRADUATION EXAM, ALLOWING THEM TO ATTEND SECONDARY SCHOOL. SAVING GRACE PRIMARY SCHOOL WAS ABLE TO CONTINUE VARIOUS CLASSES INTERMITTENTLY, AS THE GOVERNMENT ALLOWED, AND CHILDREN WERE PREPARED TO PASS THE NATIONAL EXAMS FOR PROGRESSING TO THE NEXT LEVEL. SGU BEGAN A PARTNERSHIP WITH A MINISTRY THAT CARES FOR ALBINO CHILDREN. THESE CHILDREN REQUIRE SPECIAL CARE AND GREATER IMPLEMENTATIONS WERE EVALUATED ON WAYS TO HELP THOSE CHILDREN FOR 2022. THREE WATER TANKS WERE INSTALLED TO STORE RAINWATER FOR USE IN THE BATHROOMS ON SGU CAMPUS. GRANTS FOR THIS PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENT WERE UTILIZED AS FOLLOWS: BUILDING 14,401 EDUCATIONAL 3,156 FARMING 6,893 UGANDAN ADMIN EXPENSES 17,175 UGANDAN SALARIES 96,167
