THE MISSION OF FOUNDATION IS TO ENRICH THE LIVES OF INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN NEED. ESTABLISHED IN 2008, THE PRIMARY FOCUS OF THE FOUNDATION IS TO PROVIDE SERIOUSLY ILL AND PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED CHILDREN THROUGHOUT THE TWIN CITIES WITH DAILY SUPPORT AND LIFE-CHANGING EXPERIENCES.

TENDHER HEART LUNCHEON - THE TENDHER HEART LUNCHEON IS HOSTED EACH YEAR TO HONOR MOTHERS OF CHRONICALLY AND CRITICALLY ILL CHILDREN FOR THE SACRIFICES THEY MAKE IN CARING FOR THEIR ILL CHILD. THE BRUNCH PROVIDES THESE WOMEN WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO "TAKE A MINUTE" FOR THEMSELVES AND ENJOY EACH OTHER'S COMPANY AND SUPPORT. THE MOTHERS ARE SERVED GOURMET BREAKFAST AND LUNCH DISHES AND ARE SENT HOME WITH A FEW SPECIAL TREATS TO ENJOY.
HANDICAPPED-ACCESSIBLE PLAYGROUNDS FAMILIES WALK THROUGH HOSPITAL AND CLINIC DOORS EVERY DAY DEALING WITH A SERIOUS ILLNESS OR INJURY BUT MANY HOSPITALS DO NOT HAVE AN OUTDOOR ESCAPE FOR PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES. THE ADDITION OF THESE INCLUSIVE, HANDICAPPED-ACCESSIBLE PLAYGROUNDS REPRESENTS A PLACE FOR KIDS TO GET FRESH AIR AND FEEL LIKE A CHILD, EVEN IF JUST FOR A FEW MINUTES IN THE MIDDLE OF THEIR TREATMENT.THE FIRST PLAYGROUND IS LOCATED AT RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE - OAK STREET. THE SECOND INCLUSIVE, HANDICAPPED-ACCESSIBLE PLAYGROUND WAS UNVEILED AT CHILDREN'S MINNESOTA IN JUNE 2018.
REACH CAMP THE CAMP IS OPEN TO BOYS AND GIRLS IN THE FOURTH TO NINTH GRADE. CAMPERS WILL BUILD THEIR FOOTBALL KNOWLEDGE ALONG WITH KEY MOTIVATIONAL ELEMENTS NEEDED TO SUCCEED IN ALL ASPECTS OF LIFE. THE CAMP FOCUSES ON CHARACTER BUILDING AND TEAM BUILDING.
OTHER PROGRAM EXPENSES TO PROVIDE AID TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN NEED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, FIELD OF DREAMS, CHAD'S LOCKER, AND OTHER GENERAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS. THE FIELD OF DREAMS PROGRAM WAS ESTABLISHED TO PRESENT CRITICALLY AND CHRONICALLY ILL CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES WITH MAGICAL MEMORIES BY FULFILLING SPORTS WISHES AND VACATION DREAMS. THE FOUNDATION FOOTS THE BILL FOR A WEEKEND OF FUN ACTIVITIES, TICKETS AND FOOD AT A NICE GETAWAY AT MALL OF AMERICA.
