Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3
THIS PAST YEAR MOUNTAIN RIVER CONTINUED TO SERVE THE CHILDREN OF OUR COMMUNITY AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES. WE PROVIDED OVER A DOZEN TOURS TO FAMILIES WHO WERE INTERESTED IN A PROGRAM FOR THEIR CHILDREN OR THEY WERE INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING. WE FACILITATED OVER 40 SESSIONS FOR ALL CHILDREN WHO DESIRED TO COME: AT-RISK, FOSTER, ABUSED, UNDERSERVED, ADOPTED, AUTISTIC, OR THEY JUST WANT TO SPEND TIME WITH HORSES. WE OFFERED COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS FOR THE LOCAL SCHOOLS AND WE NOW HAVE A HALF A DOZEN YOUTH VOLUNTEERS IN ADDITION TO OUR ADULT VOLUNTEERS TO HELP WITH SESSIONS AND SERVICE PROJECTS. IN 2017, OUR VOLUNTEERS DONATED OVER 350 HOURS AND ADDED TWO FESTIVALS, ONE IN THE SUMMER AND ONE IN THE FALL FOR FAMILIES, FRIENDS, AND YOUTH. WE LOOK TO CONTINUE TO GROW, SERVING MORE CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES EACH YEAR AS WE TEAM OUR EQUINE, MENTORS, VOLUNTEERS, AND CHILDREN FOR A TIME OF HEALING, PERSONAL GROWTH, AND MOST OF ALL HOPE.
