ON NOVEMBER 6, 2021, FARHANG FOUNDATION HOSTED ITS 11TH ANNUAL FUNDRAISING GALA AT THE HISTORIC BEVERLY WILSHIRE HOTEL IN BEVERLY HILLS, THE EVENT WAS ATTENDED BY OVER 500 GUESTS AND SPONSORS.THIS YEAR'S GALA EVENT FEATURED MUSICAL PERFORMANCES BY THE TALENTED KAMYAR AND THE NIGHT'S MASTER OF CEREMONIES WAS THE FABULOUS ACTRESS TARA GRAMMY. ALL FUNDS RAISED AT THIS ANNUAL EVENT SUPPORT FARHANG FOUNDATION 100+ ANNUAL PROGRAMS, PROJECTS, AND INITIATIVES, INCLUDING THE HISTORIC NEW IRANIAN MUSIC DEGREE PROGRAM AT UCLA'S HERB ALPERT SCHOOL OF MUSIC AND THE PARTNERSHIP WITH THE GETTY VILLA FOR THE PERSIA: ANCIENT IRAN AND THE CLASSICAL WORLD EXHIBITION.
ON MARCH 20, 2022, FARHANG FOUNDATION RETURNED TO ITS IN-PERSON 13TH ANNUAL CELEBRATION OF NOWRUZ AT UCLA'S DICKSON COURT. THE EVENT WAS ATTENDED BY OVER 30,000 VISITORS AND FEATURED DAY-LONG ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS INCLUDING LIVE PERFORMANCES BY AVA CHOIR, LA DAF ENSEMBLE, MELIEKA DANCE COMPANY, UCLA IRANIAN MUSIC STUDENT ENSEMBLE, NEGAR ESTAKHR AND NARGOL RASHIDIAN'S PUPPET SHOW, AND THE FIRUZE DANCE COMPANY LED BY ROBYN FRIEND. THE EVENT ALSO FEATURED AN ELABORATE GRAND HAFT SN DISPLAY, GETTY VILLA PERSIA EXHIBITION MURAL ART PROJECT AND PHOTO BOOTHS, CHILDREN'S PROGRAMMING, ARTS AND CRAFTS, AN IRANIAN TEA HOUSE, MUSIC BY DJ ARIN, AND CALLIGRAPHY BY MOHTADI MIRAK.
FARHANG FOUNDATION AND THE PACIFIC SYMPHONY WERE PROUD TO ONCE AGAIN COLLABORATE IN PRESENTING THE SYMPHONY'S ANNUAL NOWRUZ CONCERT, BACK FOR THE FIRST TIME AFTER A TWO-YEAR PANDEMIC IMPOSED HIATUS. WE WERE HONORED TO WELCOME SPECIAL IRANIAN GUEST PERFORMERS LILY AFSHAR, SHARDAD ROHANI, MOJGAN SHAJARIAN AND SINA SARLAK TO THIS YEAR'S UNFORGETTABLE CELEBRATIONS.
