ELIMINATE FOOD INSECURITY IN POLK COUNTY BY EMPOWERING OUR NEIGHBORS THROUGH RELATIONSHIPS AND LONG-TERM DEVELOPMENT.

FOOD PANTRY OPERATIONS SERVED APPROXIMATELY 2,415 UNDUPLICATED INDIVIDUALS AND DISTRIBUTED OVER 215.5 TONS OF FOOD IN OUR COMMUNITY. WE RETURNED TO A WALK THROUGH CLIENT CHOICE PANTRY AFTER 2 YEARS OF OFFERING A DRIVE THRU IN RESPONSE TO COVID. IN CONJUNCTION WITH THIS CHANGE COM BEGAN OFFERING REGULAR LIFE SKILLS CLASSES ON TOPICS OF FINANCIALS, SOCIAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING AND HAD 73 INDIVIDUALS PARTICIPATE IN THESE CLASSES.


THRIFT STORE OPERATIONS PROVIDED AFFORDABLE ITEMS FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN THE COMMUNITY INCLUDING CLOTHES, FURNITURES AND HOUSEHOLD GOODS. THE THRIFT STORE SAW INCREASED SALES IN 2022.


CLIENT ASSISTANCE OPERATIONS PROVIDED ASSISTANCE WITH UTILITIES, HOUSING, FUEL, AND TRAVEL TO COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN NEED. SERVED HOUSEHOLDS WITH 16,900 IN EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. CASE MANAGERS ALSO WORKED WITH INDIVIDUALS ON LONG TERM GOALS AND SELF SUFFICIENCY. LETS GET TO WORK GRANT WAS RECEIVED AND HELPED 17 FAMILIES WITH TRANSPORTATION RELATED NEEDS TO HELP THEM FIND OR RETAIN EMPLOYMENT.
