THE 2023 INDUSTRY STUDIES ASSOCIATION ANNUAL CONFERENCE WAS HELD IN COLUMBUS, OHIO AND WAS HOSTED BY THE FISHER COLLEGE OF BUSINESS AT THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY. THE CONFERENCE THEME WAS "RECONCEPTUALIZING COMPETITION: NATION, REGION, FIRM, AND INDIVIDUAL". IT WAS HELD OVER 3 DAYS WITH 150 ATTENDEES, OVER 100 PAPERS PRESENTED, 3 PLENARY SESSIONS, 6 SPECIAL SESSIONS, APPROXIMATELY 36 PAPER AND PANEL PARALLEL SESSIONS AND AN AWARDS CEREMONY FOR OUTSTANDING SCHOLARS. THE CONFERENCE ALSO HELD ITS ANNUAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP WITH 27 PH.D STUDENTS AND JUNIOR FACULTY, ALONG WITH NINE SENIOR FACULTY MENTORS. A SENIOR FACULTY PANEL DISCUSSION WAS FOLLOWED BY IN-DEPTH SMALL GROUP DISCUSSIONS BETWEEN MENTORS AND 2-3 MENTEES. CONFERENCE ATTENDEES WERE ABLE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN PLANT TOURS OF HONDA OR HIKMA PHARMACEUTICALS AND MULTIPLE RECEPTIONS PROVIDED THEM WITH REFRESHMENTS AND ABUNDANT NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES.INDUSTRY STUDIES ASSOCIATION CONTINUES TO SERVE ITS MEMBERS BY PROVIDING VALUABLE ONLINE RESOURCES, INCLUDING HOSTED WEBINARS, THAT MEMBERS CAN USE FOR NETWORKING, COLLABORATION AND RESEARCH PURPOSES.
