THE UABBI SUPPORTS UPPER ARLINGTON HIGH SCHOOL BOYS' BASEBALL PROGRAM THROUGH FUND RAISING. THEY PROVIDE NEEDED UNIFORMS, EQUIPMENT, FIELD WORK AND SUPPORTING TEAM EVENTS. THE UABBI HAS APPROXIMATELY 55 MEMBERS IN 2024. THE UABBI SUPPORTED THE VARSITY, JUNIOR VARSITY AND FRESHMAN TEAMS WITH A TOTAL OF 55 PLAYERS, SUPPORTED BY 10 COACHES. THERE WERE APPROXIMATELY 100 GAMES (AND SCRIMMAGES) PLAYED BY THE VARSITY, JUNIOR VARSITY AND FRESHMAN TEAMS. THE MAIN UABBI FUNDRAISING EVENT IN SUPPORT OF BASEBALL OPERATIONS FOR THE UPPER ARLINGTON BASEBALL PROGRAM IS THE SUBMARINE SANDWICH SALE HELD IN FEBRUARY. THE PLAYERS SOLD AND DELIVERED APPROXIMATELY 9,100 SANDWICHES OF WHICH OVER 850 SANDWICHES WERE DONATED TO LOCAL FOOD SHELTERS. OTHER FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES INCLUDED A FALL GOLF OUTING FOR PLAYERS, FAMILIES AND FRIENDS, HALL OF FAME EVENT AND THE SALE OF ADVERTISEMENTS IN THE ANNUAL BASEBALL PROGRAM.
