THE HOUSING WORKS USED BOOK CAFE, INC. SELLS DONATED USED BOOKS (IN STORE AND ONLINE) AND OPERATES A THRIVING CAFE. THE BOOKSTORE CAFE IS A HUB FOR NEW YORK'S DOWNTOWN LITERARY AND ARTS SCENE, HOSTING MORE THAN 100 READINGS, PANELS AND CONCERTS ANNUALLY. BJORK, JOHN MELLENCAMP AND JOHN MAYER ARE AMONG THE CELEBRATED MUSICIANS WHO HAVE PERFORMED THERE. THE USED BOOK CAFE IS ALSO A POPULAR EVENT SPACE AVAILABLE FOR WEDDINGS AND SPECIAL EVENTS.
