2021 SAW THE COMPLETION OF NEW, STATE-OF-THE-ART CONCERT VENUE AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES FOR MSW IN SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA. MSW MOVED INTO RAVENSCROFT IN SEPTEMBER AND PRESENTED A GRAND OPENING CONCERT IN OCTOBER. RAVENSCROFT PRESENTED MONTHLY JAZZ CONCERTS AND WEEKLY MUSIC EVENTS WHICH CREATED REGULAR OPPORTUNITIES TO SHARE OUR VARIOUS OUTREACH MINISTRIES WITH THE PUBLIC.
THE VALLEY JAZZ COOPERATIVE, AN EDUCATION PROGRAM OFFERED FREE OF CHARGE TO TALENTED MUSIC STUDENTS IN GRADES 8 THROUGH 12, OFFERED WEEKLY INSTRUCTION VIA ZOOM FOR MOST OF THE YEAR, THEN RETURNED TO IN-PERSON INSTRUCTION IN NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER. THE MSW MUSIC DEPARTMENT ALSO ASSISTED VJC PUBLICATIONS WITH A BIG BAND RECORDING SESSION IN THE HALL.MSW MUSIC ASSISTED WITH THE PRODUCTION OF FIFTY-THREE MORE "PAUSES" FOR THE SIMPLE PAUSE IOS APP AND PRODUCED FIVE LAKESHORE MUSIC JAZZ CONCERTS IN THE HALL IN ADDITION TO OUR OPENING CONCERT WHICH FEATURED THE BOB RAVENSCROFT TRIO. OUR TEAM OF AUDIO AND LIGHTING TECHNICIANS ASSEMBLED EVERY FRIDAY FOR JAZZBIRD NIGHTS FROM NOVEMBER 12TH THROUGH THE END OF THE YEAR TO OFFER LIVE JAZZ FEATURING LOCAL PERFORMERS.
DISCOVER HOPESUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES - 2021 SPIRITUAL CARE OUTREACH: PROVIDED OVER 200 SPIRITUAL DIRECTION SESSIONS FOR PASTORS, LEADERS, AND LEARNERS IN 2021. WE INITIATED MONTHLY SPIRITUAL CARE SESSIONS FOR PASTORS/LEADERS IN EASTERN EUROPE. RICHARD TAUGHT AN 8-WEEK COURSE ON SOUL CARE FOR PASTORS/LEADERS OF THE PACIFIC SOUTHWEST CONFERENCE OF THE EVANGELICAL COVENANT CHURCH. FACILITATED AND LED THE DEDICATION OF MSW'S NEW FACILITIES.EASTERN EUROPE DEVELOPMENT: RICHARD TRAVELED TO EASTERN EUROPE IN APRIL 2021. WHILE THERE:O HE CONDUCTED PASTOR/LEADER CONFERENCES, MINISTERED IN VILLAGE CHURCHES, AND PROVIDED OVERSIGHT TO OUR BRANCH OFFICES (ARMENIA AND BELARUS).O HE ALSO WAS INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN A GROUND-BREAKING/DEDICATION CEREMONY FOR AN ARMENIAN CHURCH LEADER'S HOME. WE WERE ABLE TO DELIVER FUNDS FOR SEVERAL OF THE HUMANITARIAN AND MINISTRY PROJECTS WE SUPPORT IN EASTERN EUROPE.
