STRINGENDO STRIVES TO ENHANCE AND PROMOTE THE MUSICAL ABIILITY, TALENT & APPRECIATION FOR THE MUSIC ARTS THROUGH THE STAGING OF CONCERTS & PUBLIC PERFORMANCES FOR ITS STUDENTS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN THE DUTCHESS COUNTY AREA. THE PURPOSE ALSO INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, CONDUCTING LESSONS, WORKSHOPS, SUMMER CAMPS, PERFORMANCES AND COMPETITIONS FOR STUDENTS IN BOTH ORCHESTRAL AND FIDDLE GROUPS, PERFORMING IN THE CLASSICAL AND TRADITIONAL AMERICAN FOLK MUSIC GENRES. STUDENTS ARE ALSO EXPOSED TO THE CULTURE AND MUSIC OF OTHER COUNTRIES THROUGH "EXCHANGE" TRIPS WITH STUDENTS OF OTHER COUNTRIES.
