THE ORGANIZATION CURRENTLY HOLDS LOW COST SPAY AND NEUTER CLINICS IN ORDER TO HELP COMBAT PET OVERPOPULATION PROBLEMS IN NEW HAMPSHIRE AND WESTERN MAINE. FROM ITS INCEPTION THROUGH 2022 RMAA HAS PERFORMED OVER 26,000 SURGERIES, INCLUDING ABOUT 3,900 IN 2022. ADDITIONALLY, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC ON TOPICS REALTING TO CARING FOR CATS AND DOGS ON ITS WEBSITE.
THE ORGANIZATION ADMINISTERS THE "KEEPING FAMILIES TOGETHER" PET FOOD PROGRAM WHERE PET FOOD IS COLLECTED AND DISTRIBUTED THROUGH LOCAL FOOD PANTRIES TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF PETS BEING SURRENDERED TO ANIMAL SHELTERS OR ABANDONED.
