ONE WORLD LINK IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION FOCUSED ON BRINGING THE WORLD TOGETHER, ONE COMMUNITY AT A TIME. THE ONE WORLD LINK MISSION IS TO ENCOURAGE SOCIAL AND SYSTEMIC CHANGE TO COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE WORLD BY USING LOCAL RESOURCES AND PROMOTING COMMUNITY RESPONSIBILITY. WE USE TECHNOLOGY AND RESEARCH TO WORK WITH YOUTH GROUPS, ADULTS AND INSTITUTIONS TO IMPLEMENT OUR PROGRAMS OR HELP THEM CREATE PROGRAMS THAT ARE SPECIFIC TO THEIR COMMUNITY'S NEEDS. WE ACCOMPLISH OUR WORK THROUGH OUR PROGRAMS AND COLLABORATIONS.

Part 3 - Line 4a

56 AMERICORPS MEMBERS COMPLETED OVER 80,000 HOURS OF COLLECTIVE SERVICE TO THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH GEORGIA REGIONS. THEY SERVED AS COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS IN FEDERALLY QUALIFIED HEALTH CENTERS, HOSPITALS, AND THE NORTH CENTRAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT. THEY ALSO HELPED BUILD THE CAPACITY OF SMALLER NON-PROFITS THROUGHOUT THE STATE.


OUR CURE VIOLENCE TEAM CALLED PROJECT HERO, USED A PUBLIC HEALTH APPROACH TO ADDRESSING GUN VIOLENCE. THROUGH THE USE OF CREDIBLE MESSENGERS, THE TEAM OF VIOLENCE INTERRUPTERS AND OUTREACH WORKERS REDUCED THE INCIDENCE OF GUN HOMINCE BY 33% OVER THE PREVIOUS YEAR. DURING THAT SAME PERIOD, THE REST OF THE COUNTY, OUTSIDE OF THE TARGET AREA, INCREASED GUN HOMICIDES BY 13%.
