THE CENTER HOSTED A VARIETY OF RENTAL EVENTS AT THE MCCOY CENTER DURING FISCAL YEAR 2021. SERVICES PROVIDED TO RENTAL EVENTS INCLUDE USE OF THEATRE SPACES, EQUIPMENT RENTALS, AND THEATRE LABOR. DUE TO COVID, SEVERAL RENTAL EVENTS HAD TO BE CANCELLED.
IN FISCAL YEAR 2021, THE MCCOY CENTER PROVIDED GRANTS TO EXTEND THE ARTS PROGRAMMING AT THE NEW ALBANY PLAIN LOCAL SCHOOLS. THIS PROGRAMMING INCLUDED A WEST AFRICAN DRUMMERS RESIDENCY, A BALLETMET RESIDENCY, THE CARNIVAL OF THE ANIMAL PROGRAM, AND THE ANNUAL CELEBRATION OF DIVERSITY/BLACK HISTORY MONTH. THESE PROGRAMS HAVE REACHED MORE THAN 3,175 ELEMENTARY AND 2,500 MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS THIS SCHOOL YEAR.
