THE MISSION OF THE INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY OF MEDIATORS IS TO PROMOTE EXCELLENCE AMONG THE PRE-EMINENT COMMERCIAL MEDIATORS THROUGH EDUCATIONAL ENHANCEMENT, FELLOWSHIP AND THE DELIVERY OF THE HIGHEST ETHICAL SERVICE.

PURPOSES OF THE MEDIATOR MENTORSHIP PROGRAM (MMP):RECRUITING AND SUPPORTING THE NEXT GENERATION OF COMMERCIAL MEDIATION SCHOLARS AND PRACTITIONERS.RECRUITING AND SUPPORTING A MORE DIVERSE COMMUNITY OF COMMERCIAL MEDIATION SCHOLARS AND PRACTITIONERS.SPOTTING MEDIATORS WITH GREAT POTENTIAL WHO WOULD BE A CREDIT TO IAM, SHOULD THEY BE SUCCESSFUL IN FURTHER DEVELOPING THEIR MEDIATION CAREERS.PROVIDING FOR A MEANS OF GROWING MEMBERSHIP IN AN APPROPRIATE WAY OVER TIME, WHILE HONORING THE HIGH STANDARDS OF THE IAM.HONORING IAM'S COMMITMENT TO THE CONTINUED EXCELLENCE AND ETHICS OF THE MEDIATION PROFESSION.


SPRING CONFERENCE: THE IAM IS ENGAGED IN PROMOTING THE HIGHEST STANDARDS IN COMMERCIAL MEDIATION. EACH YEAR THE ACADEMY HOSTS TOW EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCES WITH PROGRAMMING THAT ADDRESSES ASPECTS OF MEDIATION ON A REGIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL SCALE. IT HAS ALSO EXPANDED ITS OFFERINGS TO MEMBERS WITH A SERIES OF VIRTUAL SYMPOSIA THAT ADDRESS MEDIATION IN DIFFERENT REGIONS OF THE GLOBE.

ANNUAL WINKLER/IAM/OSGOODEPD CONFERENCE ON MEDIATION: WINKLER INSTITUTE/IAM/OSGOODEPD ANNUAL CONFERENCE ON MEDIATION WILL CULMINATE IN AN INTERACTIVE MULTI-PARTY DISPUTE CASE ANALYSIS WHERE YOU WILL WORK WITH EXPERT FACILITATORS IN DISCUSSING BEST STRATEGIES FOR NAVIGATING THROUGH THE IMPASSE, RESOLVING ETHICAL DILEMMAS, AND CLOSING THE DEAL. THIS INTENSIVE PROGRAM WILL ENSURE THAT COUNSEL AND MEDIATORS UNDERSTAND THEIR OBLIGATIONS, PARTICULARLY IN THE FACE OF THE NUMEROUS POTENTIAL ETHICAL DILEMMAS, THE MEDIATION PROCESS IS RESPECTED AND THE GOAL IN COMING TO AN AGREEMENT TAKES PRIORITY EVEN IN THE FACE OF CONFLICT, AND YOU ARE UP-TO-DATE ON THE CURRENT LAW AND BEST PRACTICES.
