OUR MISSION IS TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED IN THE GREENVILLE AREA. WE STRIVE TO CREATE A FAMILY-LIKE ATMOSPHERE FOR PEOPLE TO SHARE THEIR NEEDS AND CONCERNS.

FOOD PANTRY: THE FOOD PANTRY SERVICES APPROXIMATELY 250 HOUSEHOLDS EACH MONTH. THESE CLIENTS MEET THE FINANCIAL GUIDELINES UNDER TEFAP/NON-TEFAP. FEMA/EFSP AND SEMA FUNDS ARE USED TO PURCHASE FOOD FROM MERCER COUNTY COMMUNITY FOOD WAREHOUSE. WE ALSO RECEIVE USDA FOODS AND DONATED FOODS AND PURCHASED FOOD FROM A LOCAL GROCERY STORE WITH DESIGNATED CONTRIBUTIONS. WE SERVE EMERGENCY MEALS TO THOSE IN NEED.
HOT MEAL PROGRAM: WE SERVE AN AVERAGE OF 720 MEALS EACH MONTH IN-HOUSE TO ANYONE IN NEED. FOOD IS PURCHASED WITH DESIGNATED CONTRIBUTIONS AND OBTAINED FROM A STAT VOLUNTEERS FOOD PROGRAM. VOLUNTEERS PREPARE THE FOOD AND IT IS SERVED LIKE A SOUP KITCHEN WITH NO CHARGE AND NO REGISTRATION.
HOUSING PROGRAM: THIS PROGRAM INCLUDES RENT AND UTILITY ASSISTANCE, EMERGENCY SHELTER, TRANSITIONAL HOUSING, AND DIRECTOR'S DISCRETIONARY EXPENDITURES. INDIVIDUALS ARE ELIGIBLE WHEN THEY HAVE EXHAUSTED ALL OTHER RESOURCES, ARE HOMELESS, OR ARE AT RISK OF EVICTION.
