GRADUATE WOMEN IN SCIENCE DISTRIBUTES MONTHLY ELECTRONIC NEWSLETTERS WHICH PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR WOMEN CONDUCTING RESEARCH, SUPPORTS GENERAL PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS OF WOMEN IN STEM AND OTHER PROJECTS IN THE ADVANCEMENT OF SCIENCE, AND SEEKS CORPORATE SUPPORT FOR RECRUITMENT AND ADVANCEMENT PROGRAMS FOR WOMEN IN STEM FIELDS. THE PROCEEDS FROM OUR ENDOWMENTS ON AN ANNUAL BASIS PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE FELLOWSHIP AWARDS. WE ACCEPT AND PROCESS APPLICATIONS ONLINE; THE LARGE GROUP OF REVIEWERS FOLLOW A PROCESS SIMILAR TO THE FEDERAL GRANTS REVIEW PROCESS. OUT OF APPROXIMATELY 230 ANNUAL APPLICANTS, WE GENERALLY AWARD 5-6 AWARDS, DEPENDING ON AVAILABLE FUNDS; THE MAXIMUM AWARD FOR A FELLOWSHIP WINNER IS 10,000.
