NATIONAL PHILANTHROPIC TRUST IS A PUBLIC CHARITY DEDICATED TO INCREASING PHILANTHROPY (SEE SCHED. O) IN SOCIETY. NPT IS AN INDEPENDENT, NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED, PUBLIC CHARITY. NPT'S MISSION IS TO INCREASE PHILANTHROPY IN SOCIETY. TO ACCOMPLISH THIS MISSION, NPT OFFERS A VARIETY OF GIVING VEHICLES INCLUDING DONOR-ADVISED FUNDS, DESIGNATED FUNDS, FISCAL SPONSORSHIP, SUPPORTING ORGANIZATIONS AND SPECIALIZED FIELD OF INTEREST FUNDS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO OFFERS PHILANTHROPIC GUIDANCE AND SERVICES THAT HELP BOTH INDIVIDUAL DONORS AND THEIR ADVISORS MAXIMIZE THEIR CHARITABLE IMPACT ACROSS THE WORLD. NATIONAL PHILANTHROPIC TRUST AWARDED APPROXIMATELY 88,000 GRANTS TOTALING APPROXIMATELY $6.39 BILLION TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS AND PROGRAMS IN TAX YEAR 2020. THE ORGANIZATION SERVED MORE THAN 12,000 INDIVIDUAL DONORS IN 2020. (SEE SCHED. O).SINCE INCEPTION IN 1996, NPT HAS MADE MORE THAN $15.5 BILLION IN GRANTS TO QUALIFIED CHARITIES IN MORE THAN 70 COUNTRIES. IN 2020, NPT SUBSTANTIALLY ENHANCED OFFERINGS AND SERVICES TO DONORS AND ADVISORS. THESE IMPROVEMENTS INCLUDED INTRODUCING NEW IMPACT INVESTMENTS, WHICH GAVE DONORS THE ABILITY TO ALIGN THEIR INVESTMENTS WITH THEIR GRANTMAKING GOALS, AND IMPROVING THE GRANT PROCESS, ENABLING GRANTS TO REACH RECIPIENT CHARITIES MORE QUICKLY.
