AN ARCHIVIST RECORDS ROOM IS ACTIVELY USED BY THE PUBLIC SEEKING INFORMATION ON THE HISTORY OF FAMILIES IN THE OLMSTED AREA. SINCE 2005 THERE HAS BEEN RESTORATION OF AN 1840'S HISTORICAL CHURCH, A HEARSE BARN, AN 1838 HOME TO THE MUSEUM WAS MOVED WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF VOLUNTEERS, AND OTHER FUNDRAISING EFFORTS TO SUPPORT THE PROJECTS. THE NUMBER OF FULLY RESTORED 19TH CENTURY BUILDINGS TO 11, WITH THE ADDITIONAL HOME BEING RENOVATED AND THE SCHOOLHOUSE COMPLETED MAKING THE BUILDING TOTAL 13. VARIOUS EDUCATIONAL EVENTS ARE HELD AT THE MUSEUM EACH YEAR. ADDITIONALLY, TOURS ARE CONDUCTED FOR ALL INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS. THE SOCIETY ALSO OPERATES A FARMER'S MARKET YEAR ROUND. ALL EVENTS AND ALL HISTORICAL HOMES ARE OPENED TO THE PUBLIC WITH VOLUNTEERS INTERACTING WITH THE PUBLIC AND EDUCATING THEM ABOUT THE HISTORY OF THE HOMES AND THE AREA. DURING THE FILING YEAR, APPROXIMATELY 30,000 PERSONS VISITED THE FROSTVILLE MUSEUM DURING EVENTS AND TOURS. DURING THE 2019 TAX YEAR, THE SOCIETY HAS COMPLETED THE BUILDING OF A REPLICA 1800'S SCHOOLHOUSE. ONE METHOD TO RAISE FUNDS WAS TO SELL ENGRAVED BRICKS, WHICH HAVE BEEN USED TO MAKE A SIDEWALK LEADING TO THE SCHOOLHOUSE. THE SOCIETY WAS ALSO SUCCESSFUL IN SECURING 50,000 FROM THE OHIO STATE CAPITAL BUDGET FOR THE SCHOOLHOUSE PROJECT. AS A RESULT OF THESE FUNDRAISING EFFORTS, CONSTRUCTION OF THE SCHOOLHOUSE IS COMPLETE.
