DURING FISCAL YEAR 2022 THERE WERE NEW GRANTS DISTRIBUTED BECAUSE THE BAN ON INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL WAS LIFTED SLIGHTLY. THE HEFNER BOARD GAVE OUT 13,000 IN TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIPS IN 2022. THE 2023 APPLICANTS HAVE INCREASED GREATLY AS INTERNATIONAL TRACEL HAS RESUMED AGAIN. THE HEFNER BOARD HAS ALWAYS CONTINUED TO MEET AND DISCUSS THE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION PROCESS, WEBSITE, AND COMMUNICATION STRATEGIES AS TO BETTER SERVE THE NEEDS OF STUDENTS WANTING AN INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL EXPERIENCE.
