NATIONAL PELRA PROVIDES PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, EDUCATION, TRAINING, NETWORKING, AND ADVOCACY SERVICES TO PUBLIC EMPLOYER LABOR RELATIONS AND HUMAN RESOURCE PROFESSIONALS SO THAT THE PUBLIC ORGANIZATIONS CAN BEST DELIVER EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE SERVICES TO THEIR COMMUNITIES.

Part 3 - Line 4a

THE ANNUAL TRAINING CONFERENCE IS HELD IN-PERSON, TO PROVIDE EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND ENRICHMENT TO ATTENDEES THROUGH SPEAKERS, WORKSHOPS, COURSES AND DISCUSSIONS. DUE TO COVID-19 IMPACTS ON CALENDAR YEAR 2020, TWO (2) TRAINING CONFERENCES WERE HELD IN FY22 DUE TO HOTEL CONTRACT OBLIGATIONS. THIS EVENT WAS IN NEW ORLEANS AND HAD A SIGNIFICANT EXPENSE OBLIGATION THAT RESULTED IN A NET NEGATIVE REVENUE VALUE OF $-36,241.


THE SECOND OF TWO ANNUAL TRAINING CONFERENCES IN FY22 WAS IN AUSTIN, TX AND CONTRACTUALLY HAD LOWER EXPENSE REQUIREMENTS IN ADDITION TO AN INCREASE IN ATTENDEES. A MARGINAL NET REVENUE WAS REALIZE, WHICH COMPARED TO PRIOR YEARS WAS NOT SIGNIFICANT BUT WAS NOT A NET LOSS LIKE NEW ORLEANS CONFERENCE.


LABOR RELATIONS ACADEMY COURSES ARE STRUCTURED EDUCATIONAL COURSES THAT ENHANCE PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND BUILD TOWARDS A CERTIFICATION OPPORTUNITY. THE CERTIFIED LABOR RELATIONS PROFESSIONAL (CLRP) IS A FEDERALLY REGISTERED COURSE, AND THOUGH TRADITIONALLY HELD IN-PERSON, COVID-19 FORCED ALL PROGRAMS TO BE HELD VIRTUALLY. THIS ACTION DRASTICALLY REDUCED OPERATIONAL EXPENSES FOR THE PROGRAM AND PROVIDED SIGNIFICANT NET REVENUE STREAM TO THE ASSOCIATION.
