DURING CALENDAR YEAR 2018, THE SF VEGETARIAN SOCIETY, WE WERE ABLE TO PROMOTE THE MANY BENEFITS AND EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE POSITIVE ATTRIBUTES OF ADOPTING A PLANT-BASED LIFESTYLE THROUGH THE SF VEG SOCIETY HOSTING AND ORGANIZING EVENTS IN 2018 INCLUDING: OCT 27, 2018 - SF WORLD VEG FEST AT GOLDEN GATE PARK WITH OVER 3,900 ATTENDEES AND 30 PLANT-BASED SPEAKERS AND VEGAN AND HEALTHY COOKING DEMOS APRIL 2018 SECOND TIME THE SFVS HOSTED AND ORGANIZED 6 VEGAN EDUCATIONAL COOKING DEMOS BY RENOWNED BAY AREA LOCAL PLANT-BASED CHEFS HELD AT THE CIVIC CENTER. THIS WAS A FREE EVENT AND THE SF VEG SOCIETY PROVIDED EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH TO OVER 5,000 PEOPLE AT THIS ONE-DAY EVENT AND PROVIDED OVER 5,000 FREE VEGAN FOOD SAMPLES/TASTINGS. JUNE 2018 PRIDE FESTIVAL. AT THIS FESTIVAL, SF VEG SOCIETY ORGANIZERS AND VOLUNTEERS DID GRASS ROOTS MARKETING AND EDUCATION TO OVER 15,000 PEOPLE WHO VISITED OUR BOOTH. OCT 2018 SF VEG SOCIETY CO-HOSTED THE FIRST ANIMAL FILM FESTIVAL AT THE ROXIE THEATRE IN SF.
