GIRLS INC. OF SARASOTA COUNTY HAS BEEN NAMED AN OUTSTANDING AFFILIATE THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA, AS WELL AS ACHIEVING THE COVETED 4-STAR RATING FROM CHARITY NAVIGATOR. WE ACHIEVED THESE DISTINCTIONS THROUGH CENTER-BASED AND OUTREACH AFTERSCHOOL AND SUMMER PROGRAMMING THAT IS RESEARCH-BASED AND AGE APPROPRIATE. OUR PRIMARY GOALS FOCUS ON MATH/SCIENCE/TECHNOLOGY, CAREER AND LIFE PLANNING, HEALTH AND SEXUALITY, LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNITY ACTION, SPORTS AND ADVENTURE, SELF RELIANCE AND LIFE SKILLS, AND CULTURE/HERITAGE. PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO SERVE ALL GIRLS REGARDLESS OF THEIR SOCIO-ECONOMIC, ETHNIC, OR RELIGIOUS BACKGROUNDS. FOR OVER FORTY YEARS, GIRLS INC. OF SARASOTA COUNTY HAS PROVIDED VITAL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS TO THOUSANDS OF GIRLS.
