IN MOST YEARS THE ARBORETUM PROVIDES NATURE EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR 11,000 CHILDREN AND ADULTS. EACH YEAR 3,000 K-5 STUDENTS DISCOVER THE WONDERS OF NATURE ON FIELD TRIPS LED BY OUR TRAINED VOLUNTEERS. WE PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 50- 80% OF THESE CHILDREN WHO COME FROM LOW-INCOME HOMES. 2,000 ADULTS AND FAMILIES ENJOY OUR GUIDED NATURE WALKS, NATURAL HISTORY WORKSHOPS, AND A FREE PLAY IN THE RAIN DAY EVENT.
