THE MISSION AND PURPOSE OF BOOM IS PROMOTE THE ECONOMIC ADVANTAGE OF MANSFIELD, PA AND SURROUNDING VICINITY BY THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF INDUSTRY, PUBLICITY, GRANTS IN AID OF INDUSTRY AND OTHER MEANS AS SHALL BE LAWFUL AND CONVENIENT. IN ORDER TO FULFILL ITS MISSION AND PURPOSE, BOOM IMPROVES CONDITIONS IN MANSFIELD, PA AND THE SURROUNDING VICINITY BY (1) IMPROVING INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT BY ASSISTING IN ATTRACTING NEW INDUSTRIES TO THE AREA AND RETAINING CURRENT INDUSTRIES IN THE AREA; (2) PROVIDING GRANTS TO LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS; (3) PROVIDING LOANS TO LOCAL BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS; AND (4) DEVELOPMENT OF LAND TO SELL TO PROMOTE CONTINUING DEVELOPMENT IN THE SURROUNDING VICINITY INTO THE FUTURE.
