1. PROMOTE THE LEARNING OF CHINESE LANGUAGE AND CULTURE. 2. PROVIDE AN INFORMATION NETWORK TO ITS MEMBERS LIVING IN THE CAPITAL DISTRICT. 3. FOSTER FRIENDSHIP AND UNITY WITH THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE.

Part 3 - Line 4a

1. TO CELEBRATE OUR 50TH ANNIVERSARY, WE INVITED HONOREE AND DONORS FOR A CONCERT OF PEKING OPERA, TRADITIONAL CHININESE DANCES AND SONGS PERFORMED BY OUR STUDENTS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS AT THE PROTOR THEATER.2. WE CELEBRATED THE ANNUAL LUNAR NEW YEAR EVENT AT SUNY PERFORMANCE ARTS CENTER. OVER 600 GUESTS AND 200 VOLUNTEES JOINED US ON THIS JOYOUS DAY. REPORTERS FROM THE PRESS AND TV STATIONS WERE PRESENT TO DOCUMENT THE EVENT. 3. OVER 500 PEOPLE CAME TO THE OUR ANNUAL PICNIC AT THE ELM AVENUE PARK, DELMAR. FREE FOOD AND DRINKS, GAMES AND ENTERTAINMENT FOR THE CHILDREN. IT WAS WONDERFUL TO MEET NEW FRIENDS AND RECONNECT WITH OLD ACQUINTANCES.


1. THE CHINESE SCHOOL RESUMMED IN-PERSON TEACHING. THE ENROLLMENT WAS 362 STUDENTS - UP 50% FROM PRIOR YEAR. IN ORDER TO ACCOMODATE THE INCREASE IN STUDENTS, WE HIRED MORE TEACHERS AND SUPPORT STAFF, AND ADDED MORE CLASSES. 2. THE BUILDING GENERATED REVENUE FROM RENTING THE SPACES TO THIRD PARTY ENTITIES FOR AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS SUCH AS COMPUTER AND MATH CLASSES.
