THE MISSION OF THE ASSOCIATION FOR HOME AND HOSPICE CARE OF NORTH CAROLINA IS TO PROVIDE INDUSTRY RESOURCES, EDUCATION, ADVOCACY AND LEADERSHIP FOR MEMBERS, POLICYMAKERS, ELECTED OFFICIALS, CONSUMERS AND THE PUBLIC SO THAT HOME CARE AND HOSPICE ARE VALUED HEALTHCARE CHOICES.

LEADERSHIP: AS ONE OF THE OLDEST AND LARGEST ASSOCIATIONS OF ITS KIND IN THE NATION, THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUES TO BE A LEADER IN THE INDUSTRY WITH STRONG REPRESENTATION BY MEMBERS AND STAFF ON STATE AND NATIONAL BOARDS AND COMMITTEES; REGULARLY MEETING WITH KEY POLICYMAKERS; AND SERVING AS EXPERT FACULTY, KEYNOTE SPEAKERS, AND PANEL MEMBERS AT HEALTHCARE CONFERENCES AND MEETINGS.
ADVOCACY: THE ORGANIZATION ADVOCATES FOR PROVIDER MEMBERS AND THE PATIENTS THEY SERVE THROUGH A STRONG PUBLIC RELATIONS CAMPAIGN, LOBBYING EFFORTS, AND LEGAL CHANNELS TO ENSURE SERVICES ARE NOT REDUCED FOR THE ELDERLY AND DISABLED AND THAT APPROPRIATE AND FAIR REIMBURSEMENT IS IN PLACE FOR THE PROVIDERS OF THESE SERVICES.
EDUCATION: IN RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, THE ORGANIZATION SHIFTED THE DELIVERY OF ITS CONFERENCES AND WORKSHOPS FROM IN-PERSON TO VIRTUAL EVENTS. IN FY 2021, THE ORGANIZATION OFFERED ITS LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE, ANNUAL CONVENTION, AND OVER 60 WORKSHOPS AND WEBINARS IN VIRTUAL FORMAT IN ORDER TO PROVIDE CONTINUING EDUCATION TO ITS MEMBERS IN THE AREAS OF REGULATION, CLINICAL PRACTICE, AND BUSINESS MANAGEMENT. DURING FY 2021, THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUED TO FIELD THOUSANDS OF PHONE CALLS AND EMAILS TO ASSIST MEMBERS WITH QUESTIONS RELATED TO HOME CARE AND HOSPICE SERVICES.
