THE "MEDICAL RESERVE CORP" PROGRAM IS A COMMUNITY BASED, ORGANIZED GROUP OF VOLUNTEERS WHO DONATE TIME AND EXPERTISE TO PREPARE FOR RAPID MOBILIZATION TO ASSIST FIRST RESPONDERS DURING LARGE SCALE LOCAL EMERGENCIES IN SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY.
THE "IE-CHI IS THE REGIONAL ORGANIZATION OF THE STATE COLLABORATIVE KNOWN AS THE CALIFORNIA COVERAGE AND HEALTH INITIATIVES (CCHI). IWIN (INLAND WELLNESS INFORMATION NETWORK), AN AFFILIATED NON-PROFIT OF SBCMS (SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY MEDICAL SOCIETY), SERVES AS THE FISCAL AGENT FOR THE IE-CHI. THE IE-CHI FOCUSES RESOURCES ON ENSURING THAT ALL FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS HAVE ACCESS TO AFFORDABLE, QUALITY HEALTH CARE IN THE COUNTIES OF RIVERSIDE AND SAN BERNARDINO, WITH PARTICULAR EFFORT ON HELPING THEM FOLLOW THROUGH ON COMPLETION OF ENROLLMENT TO ACTIVATE HEALTH COVERAGE. THE IE-CHI IS FUNDED BY SPONSORSHIP FROM IEHP (INLAND EMPIRE HEALTH PLAN) AND MOLINA HEALTH CARE; AND GRANTS FROM CHIPRA (CHILDREN'S HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAM REAUTHORIZATION ACT), CALIFORNIA ENDOWMENT AND THE BLUE SHIELD FOUNDATION. THE GRANT FUNDS ARE, IN TURN, DISTRIBUTED TO AGENCIES THAT SERVE AS CERTIFIED ENROLLMENT COUNSELORS TO ENROLL CALIFORNIANS IN AFFORDABLE HEALTH PLANS THROUGH COVERED CALIFORNIA AND MEDI-CAL. THE IE-CHI COLLABORATES WITH LOCAL, REGIONAL AND STATEWIDE ORGANIZATIONS, NON-PROFITS AND GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND ELECTED OFFICIALS TO PROMOTE EDUCATION AND ADVOCACY ABOUT AVAILABLE HEALTH COVERAGE AND SERVICES.
THE "HEALTHY LIFESTYLES" PROGRAM WAS DEVELOPED TO ENCOURAGE SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN TO LEARN ABOUT AND DEVELOP HEALTHY LIFESTYLES.
