THE TRAINING TRUST AND ITS JATC PROVIDE ELECTRICAL INDUSTRY TRAINING OF INDENTURED APPRENTICES, RETRAINING OF JOURNEYMEN AND OTHER TRAINEES WITHIN THE JURISDICTION OF NORTHERN NEVADA PURSUANT TO TRAINING STANDARDS APPROVED BY THE NEVADA STATE APPRENTICESHIP COUNCIL UNDER CHAPTER 610 OF NRS AND THE NATIONAL APPRENTICESHIP ACT AKA THE FITZGERALD ACT, 29 USC SECTION 50 ET. SEQ. IN 2021, THE JATC HAD APPROXIMATELY 178 INDENTURED APPRENTICES (170 INSIDE WIREMAN APPRENTICES AND 8 TELECOMMUNICATIONS APPRENTICES). EACH INSIDE WIREMAN APPRENTICE WAS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE NOT LESS THAN 180 HOURS OF CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION DURING THE YEAR (APPROXIMATELY 30,600 INSIDE WIREMAN APPRENTICE CLASSROOM HOURS). EACH TELECOMMUNICATION APPRENTICE WAS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE NOT LESS THAN 160 HOURS OF CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION DURING THE YEAR (APPROXIMATELY 1,280 TELECOMMUNICATION APPRENTICE CLASSROOM HOURS). JOURNEYMAN IN TRAINING COMPLETED A TOTAL OF 724 HOURS OF CLASSROOM TRAINING. A TOTAL OF 404 JOURNEYMAN RECEIVED ADDITIONAL TRAINING.
