PRIMARY CARE: DOTHOUSE SERVED OVER 21,300 PATIENTS IN DORCHESTER IN FISCAL 2021. PRIMARY CARE SERVICES REPRESENTED 45.7% OF TOTAL PATIENT VISITS DURING THE YEAR. PRIMARY CARE SERVICES INCLUDE ADULT MEDICINE, FAMILY MEDICINE, PEDIATRICS AND THE URGENT CARE PROGRAM. FROM THESE SERVICES, PATIENTS CAN BE REFERRED FOR A WIDE VARIETY OF IN-HOUSE SPECIALTY CARE, SOCIAL SERVICE, CASE MANAGEMENT AND WELLNESS PROGRAMMING. OUR FULL COMPLEMENT OF SERVICES INCLUDE: ADULT MEDICINE, FAMILY MEDICINE, PEDIATRICS, URGENT CARE, WOMEN'S HEALTH, DENTAL CARE, EYE CARE, BEHAVIORAL HEALTH INCLUDING SUBSTANCE ABUSE DISORDER AND FULL SERVICES IN PHARMACY, LABORATORY INCLUDING TESTING AND PHLEBOTOMY, X-RAY, ULTRASOUND AND MAMMOGRAPHY. SPECIALTY CARE INCLUDES DERMATOLOGY, NUTRITION, CARDIOLOGY, HIV, CLINICAL CASE MANAGEMENT, ACCESS TO PUBLIC BENEFITS SUCH AS FOOD AND HOUSING ASSISTANCE, LEGAL ASSISTANCE, OUT-OF-SCHOOL TIME PROGRAMMING, ADULT EDUCATION, TAX AND CREDIT COUNSELING, FOOD PANTRY, SWIMMING POOL AND GYMNASIUM PROGRAMMING, ELDER SERVICES AND EXERCISE PROGRAMS.


PHARMACY: DOTHOUSE OFFERS FULL PHARMACY SERVICES DURING NORMAL OPERATIONS TO OUR PATIENTS. THE PHARMACY FILLED 166,564 PRESCRIPTIONS IN FISCAL YEAR 2021.


OTHER MEDICAL SERVICES: DOTHOUSE SERVED IN EXCESS OF 4,800 PATIENTS IN THE PEDIATRICS DEPARTMENT OF PRIMARY CARE. SOME INNOVATIVE PROGRAMS WITHIN THE PEDIATRIC DEPARTMENT INCLUDE THE ENHANCED INTEGRATION OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES WITHIN THE PEDIATRIC CLINIC SPACE, WHICH INCLUDES TWO CLINCIANS AND 2 FAMILY PARTNERS. THIS PROGRAM IS UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF DHH'S DUAL-CERTIFIED PEDIATRICIAN AND PSYCHIATRIST AND AIMS TO IMPROVE EARLY IDENTIFICATION OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROBLEMS AND PROVIDE A FULL COMPLEMENT OF PREVENTATIVE AND TREATMENT SERVICES TO CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES. DHH HAS ALSO CONTINUED IN DEVELOPING AND IMPLEMENTING ASTHMA ACTION PLANS WITH CHILDREN WHO ARE DIAGNOSED WITH MODERATE AND SEVERE ASTHMA, WHICH INCLUDES WORKING WITH SCHOOL NURSES IN SUPPORTING THEIR ASTHMA ACTION PLAN WHEN THEY ARE IN SCHOOL.


MENTAL HEALTH: CONTINUES TO PROVIDE SERVICES AS WELL AS ASSISTING PATIENTS WHO ARE MEDICALLY AND SOCIALLY VULNERABLE. PATIENTS ARE PROVIDED ASSISTANCE WITH LEGAL MATTERS, OBTAINING FOOD STAMPS, SOCIAL SECURITY, HEATING PROBLEMS, CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE AND EDUCATIONAL TESTING. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SERVICES ARE ALSO PROVIDED.OPTOMETRY: OFFERS COMPLETE EYE CARE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY AND SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES. WE OFFER: COMPREHENSIVE EYE EXAMS, TREATMENT FOR EYE DISEASES, EVALUATION AND TREATMENT FOR CATARACTS AND GLAUCOMA, LOW VISION SERVICE, CONTACT LENS FITTING ANDCARE.PUBLIC HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES: OFFERS A VARIETY OF SERVICES INCLUDING DIABETES SERVICES AND PROGRAMS, FOOD AND HUNGER ASSISTANCE,HIV RELATED COUNSELING, AND OTHER TYPE OF SUPPORT GROUPS.ORAL HEALTH: DHH SERVED OVER 3,000 PATIENT VISITS IN ITS ORAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT. DHH HAS EXPANDED ITS CAPACITY IN ORAL HEALTH TO INCLUDE PREVENTION, AND RESTORATIVE AND ORAL SURGERY. DHH HAS ADDED A DENTAL SUITE IN PEDIATRICS FOR PREVENTATIVE VISITS FOR CHILDREN. IT IS STAFFED FULL TIME.
