A GOVERNMENT RELATIONS PROGRAM TO MONITOR FEDERAL, STATE, AND INTERNATIONAL LEGISLATIVE AND REGULATORY ACTIVITIES AFFECTING THE FLAVOR INDUSTRY AND REPRESENT THE INTEREST OF THE INDUSTRY BEFORE GOVERNMENT AGENCIES. A PANEL OF SCIENTIFIC EXPERTS IS RETAINED BY THE ASSOCIATION TO ADVISE IT ON MATTERS OF INGREDIENT SAFETY. FEMA DID NOT ENGAGE IN LOBBYING ACTIVITIES DURING THE YEAR.
