THE ANNUAL MEETING PROVIDES A FORUM FOR THE EXCHANGE OF TECHNICAL INFORMATION RELATED TO THE PRACTICE OF PEDIATRIC SURGERY, TO PROMOTE RESEARCH IN THE FIELD OF PEDIATRIC SURGERY, AND TO PRESENT THE MOST CURRENT DEVELOPMENTS IN THE FIELD OF PEDIATRIC SURGERY TO ITS MEMBERS. THE ANNUAL MEETING ALSO PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR MEMBERS TO OBTAIN CME CREDITS FOR ATTENDANCE.
PUBLICATIONS EDUCATE MEMBERS, THE PUBLIC, PATIENTS, AND THOSE IN RELATED FIELDS IN THE AREAS SUCH AS FIELD ADVANCEMENTS, TECHNIQUES AND SERVICES, AND AVAILABILITY AND ACCESS TO RESOURCES AND PEDIATRIC SURGEONS. PUBLICATIONS PROVIDE EDUCATION FOR PATIENTS AND FAMILIES IN AREAS OF SUPPORT AND HEALTHIER LIVING. FOR PHYSICIANS, PUBLICATIONS ALLOW FOR ACCESS TO EXAMS, ETC. THAT WILL RESULT IN CME CREDITS. THE INFORMATION IS EMAILED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR TO APPROXIMATELY 1,600 MEMBERS. THE WEBSITE CONSISTS OF ONE SECTION AIMED AT PEDIATRIC SURGEONS AND OTHER PROFESSIONALS AND A SECOND SECTION DEDICATED TO PEDIATRIC PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES.
