TO SUPPORT THE CHARITABLE PURPOSES OF JAPANESE AMERICAN RELIGIOUS FEDERATION OF SAN FRANCISCO, A CALIFORNIA NONPROFIT PUBLIC CHARITY CORPORATION ("JARF"), INCLUDING BY PROVIDING HOUSING FOR LOW INCOME ELDERLY OR HANDICAPPED FAMILIES AND OTHER LOW INCOME FAMILIES ON A NON-DISCRIMINATORY NONPROFIT BASIS. THE ORGANIZATION IS THE GENERAL PARTNER OF NIHONMACHI TERRACE LP AND ALSO SERVES AS A GENERAL PARTNER FOR VARIOUS PARTNERSHIPS THAT ARE DEVELOPING LOW INCOME HOUSING PROJECTS.

THE CORPORATION SERVES AS A GENERAL PARTNER FOR A PARTNERSHIP WHICH PROVIDES 245 UNITS OF LOW INCOME HOUSING FOR ELDERLY, HANDICAPPED PERSONS AND FAMILIES IN SAN FRANCISCO, CA. THE CORPORATION ALSO SERVES AS A GENERAL PARTNER FOR SIX OTHER LIMITED PARTNERSHIPS THAT PROVIDE AFFORDABLE HOUSINGS.
