TWO ANNUAL CONFERENCES ARE HELD TO PROMOTE HONEYBEES AND BEEKEEPING. CONFERENCES ARE FOR MEMBERS ONLY WITH APPROXIMATELY 600 MEMBERS ATTENDING EACH. NCSBA IS A MEMBER OF EASTERN APICULTURAL SOCIETY(EAS), A BEEKEEPING ORGANIZATION FOR THE EASTERN PORTION OF THE US, AND THE AMERICAN BEEKEEPING FEDERATION. NUMEROUS CLASSES, WORKSHOPS, COMPETITIONS, CERTIFICATIONS AND OTHER MEETINGS ARE HELD EACH YEAR FOR THE BENEFIT OF MEMBERS. GRANTS ARE MADE TO THE NORTH CAROLINA AGRICULTURAL FOUNDATION. NCSBA SUPPORTS THE HONEYBEE EXHIBIT AT THE NORTH CAROLINA ZOO.
