OVER 14,000 STUDENT MEMBERS PARTICIPATED IN COMPETITIVE EVENTS RELATED TO THEIR INDIVIDUAL CAREER GOALS IN MARKETING, FINANCE, HOSPITALITY AND MANAGEMENT. SCHOLARSHIPS AND RECOGNITIONS ARE PROVIDED FOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS RELATED TO WORKPLACE AND SCHOOL-BASED LEARNING. DECA PROVIDES SPECIFIC RESOURCES FOR ADVISORS TO USE IN THE CLASSROOM FOR STUDENT DEVELOPMENT AND ACHIEVEMENT. THE PRINCIPLES GUIDING THESE PROGRAMS ARE CURRICULUM RELATED CAREER SKILLS, WORKPLACE EXPERIENCES, COMMUNITY SERVICE AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF BUSINESS LEADERSHIP CAPABILITIES.
