FOUNDATION PROVIDES TRAINING TO EDUCATORS IN TEACHING ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN TO RESPECT, APPRECIATE AND VALUE THE OUT-OF-DOORS.


FOUNDATION MONITORS AND MEASURES CHANGES TO RIPARIAN HABITAT AND PROVIDES DATA COLLECTED TO VARIOUS GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES, INCLUDING THE NATIONAL FOREST SERVICE, ARIZONA GAME & FISH DEPARTMENT AND ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY.


FOUNDATION COLLABORATED WITH THE PRESCOTT NATIONAL FOREST AND THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA ON A RECREATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE GRANT FOR WATERSHED IMPROVEMENTS, PRIMARILY CULVERT AND ROAD IMPROVEMENTS,AND ALSO INCLUDING WATER GAPS, TRASH CATCHERS, AUTOMATED WEATHER STATION AND SEDIMENT FLOW MEASUREMENT.


FOUNDATION PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO THE COMMUNITY NATURE CENTER, A COLLABORATIVE EFFORT BETWEEN THE PRESCOTT UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT AND THE CITY OF PRESCOTT PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT FOR OUTDOOR EDUCATION PROGRAMS.
