THE EDUCATION PROGRAM IS COMMITTED TO ASSURING THAT NEW JERSEYANS UNDERSTAND, VALUE, AND APPRECIATE THEIR MARINE AND COASTAL ENVIRONMENT AND ARE ABLE TO APPLY SOUND EVIDENCE AND SCIENCE-BASED INFORMATION TO MAKE WELL-INFORMED DECISIONS REGARDING ITS USE, MANAGEMENT, AND CARE. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH THE WIDE RANGE OF EDUCATIONAL SERVICES AND PRODUCTS THAT THE EDUCATION PROGRAM PROVIDES. THE PROGRAM'S TEACHING AND LEARNING ACTIVITIES RANGE FROM DIRECT INSTRUCTION SUCH AS FIELD TRIPS, CAMPS, SCOUT PROGRAMS, IN-SCHOOL PRESENTATIONS, COLLEGE COURSEWORK, PUBLIC OUTREACH EVENTS TO INFORMATION PREPARATION AND DISSEMINATION INCLUDING FACT SHEETS, POSTERS, LESSON PLANS, ACTIVITY GUIDES, VIDEO CONFERENCES, WEB-BASED PUBLICATIONS AND OTHER TEACHING MATERIALS.
