AT THE HEART OF THE ORGANIZATION ARE ITS MEMBERS WHO ARE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE DIVERSE POPULATION IN WHICH IT SERVES.

THE PRINCE EDWARD VOLUNTEER RESCUE SQUAD PROVIDES EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES TO THE CITIZENS OF PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY AND THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES, INCLUDING TWO COLLEGE CAMPUSES. THE ORGANIZATION IS OPERATED AND MANAGED BY VOLUNTEER CREW MEMBERS, CONSISTING OF EMT PERSONNEL, CERTIFIED AND QUALIFIED AS CARDIAC TECHNICIANS AND PARAMEDICS. THE ORGANIZATION OPERATES VARIOUS TYPES OF RESCUE AND QUICK RESPONSE VEHICLES TO RESPOND TO CALLS. THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVES OPERATING FUNDS THROUGH ITS SQUAD CARE MEMBERSHIP, HEALTH INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENTS, PRIVATE PAY,AND COMMUNITY AND GOVERNMENT DONATIONS.
