THE FRESHWATER SOCIETY IS A MN BASED NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT FOR MORE THAN 50 YEARS HAS WORKED TO EDUCATE AND INSPIRE PEOPLE TO VALUE, CONSERVE, AND PROTECT ALL FRESHWATER RESOURCES. ITS GOALS ARE TO INCREASE THE EDUCATION, AWARENESS, AND STEWARDSHIP OF CITIZENS TO REDUCE NONPOINT POLLUTION OF OUR LAKES, RIVERS, AND STREAMS AND TO INCREASE CONSERVATION BEHAVIOR TO ENSURE SUSTAINABLE WATER RESOURCES FOR GENERATIONS TO COME. IT WORKS TOWARDS ACCOMPLISHING THOSE GOALS BY A BROAD RANGE OF ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO EDUCATE, INFORM, AND ENGAGE CITIZENS. IT ALSO ADVOCATES FOR STATE AND LOCAL POLICIES THAT OPTIMIZE CONSERVATION, WATER USE EFFICIENCY, WATER RE-USE, AND PREVENTION OF NONPOINT POLLUTION.
