THE SOCIETY HILL REPORTER KEEPS NEIGHBORS REGULARLY INFORMED THROUGH SIX ISSUES PUBLISHED ANNUALLY IN JANUARY, MARCH, MAY, JULY, SEPTEMBER AND NOVEMBER. IT IS DISTRIBUTED TO NEARLY 5,000 RESIDENTS IN 3,600 HOUSEHOLDS INCLUDING HIGH RISES BETWEEN FRONT AND EIGHTH STREETS, AND BETWEEN WALNUT AND LOMBARD STREETS.


HISTORIC HOUSE TOUR - ONCE A YEAR, IN MAY, SOCIETY HILL CIVIC ASSOCIATION SELLS TICKETS FOR PEOPLE TO TOUR A SELECT GROUP OF HOUSES & GARDENS IN THE SOCIETY HILL AREA. THIS IS ONE OF THE ORGANIZATION'S BIGGEST FUNDRAISERS. HOWEVER, IN MAY 2021 THERE WAS NO HOUSE TOUR DUE TO COVID-19.


TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN SOCIETY HILL, SHCA SUPPORTS POSITIVE INTITIATIVES AND RESPONDS TO NEW CHALLENGES FACING THE COMMUNITY. CONTINUING EFFORTS INCLUDE PROVIDING CLEANER, SAFER, AND GREENER STREETS BY PROVIDING STREET CLEANING AND GRAFITTI REMOVAL, MONITORING ZONING AND DEVELOPMENT CONCERNS AND THE ISSUANCE OF LIQUOR LICENSES, AND WORKING WITH OTHER NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATIONS.
