IN FISCAL YEAR JUNE 30, 2021, PAEP CONTINUED AFTER SCHOOL AND SUMMER PROGRAMS IN 14 INNER-CITY SCHOOLS, CONDUCTED PA COUNCIL ON THE ARTS RESIDENCIES IN SOUTHEASTERN PA, CONTINUED ARTS INTEGRATION RESEARCH FOR THE US DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, INAUGURATED AN ARTS DIVERSION PROGRAM WITH THE PHILADELPHIA DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE, AND AUTHORED A VETERANS ARTS RESIDENCY GUIDE. DUE TO THE COVID19 PANDEMIC, PAEP SEGUED ALL OF ITS PROGRAMMING TO A VIRTUAL ZOOM PLATFORM.

THE PHILADELPHIA ARTS IN EDUCATION PARTNERSHIP (PAEP) ACHIEVES POSITIVE GROWTH IN STUDENTS IN K-12 CLASSROOMS AND COMMUNITY SITES BY WORKING COLLABORATIVELY WITH CLASSROOM TEACHERS, ARTISTS, SCHOOL DISTRICTS AND CULTURAL ORGANIZATIONS IN SOUTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA. THROUGH A RANGE OF PROGRAMS AND SERVICES, PAEP ACHIEVES ITS PRIMARY GOAL OF ADVANCING STUDENT LEARNING BY PROMOTING BEST PRACTICES IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ARTS IN EDUCATION, BUILDING CAPACITY IN THOSE WHO DELIVER THESE PROGRAMS, AND PROVIDING ACCESS TO RESOURCES IN SUPPORT OF ARTS EDUCATION PROGRAMS. ALL FY 21 PROGRAMMING WAS DELIVERED VIA VIRTUAL PLATFORMS DUE TO COVID 19 PANDEMIC. APPROXIMATELY 15,000 STUDENTS BENEFITED DIRECTLY FROM PROGRAMS OFFERED BY PAEP IN FISCAL YEAR JUNE 30, 2021 BY PARTICIPATING IN OVER 200 ARTS EXPERIENCES CONDUCTED BY TEACHING ARTISTS. MORE THAN 25,000 STUDENTS, TEACHERS, AND PARENTS SHARED IN THIS PROCESS BY SUPPORTING THE VIRTUAL PERFORMANCES AND EXHIBITS THAT WERE HELD TO DEMONSTRATE THE LEARNING THAT OCCURRED. PAEP CONTINUED TO MANAGE THE REGIONAL COMPETITION FOR POETRY OUT LOUD, A PROGRAM OF THE NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS SUPPORTED IN THE COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA BY THE PENNSYLVANIA COUNCIL ON THE ARTS AND ITS REGIONAL PARTNERS. PARTNERING WITH THE PHILADELPHIA WRITERS PROJECT, PAEP AGAIN MANAGED THE REGIONAL COMPETITION FOR THE NATIONAL SCHOLASTIC YOUNG ARTISTS AND WRITERS.
