WINGS FOR SUCCESS WAS FORMED IN 1997 BY A COMMUNITY OF WOMEN WHO RECOGNIZED THAT NOT HAVING WORK-APPROPRIATE ATTIRE WAS A BARRIER TO FINDING A JOB. IN ADDITION TO SERVING THE UNEMPLOYED, WINGS FOR SUCCESS PROVIDES CLOTHING FOR THE UNDER-EMPLOYED/WORKING-POOR, AND WORKSHOPS THAT EQUIP WOMEN WITH SKILLS TO MAINTAIN LONG-TERM EMPLOYMENT OR ADVANCE THEIR CAREERS. EQUIPPING OVER 1,000 WOMEN A YEAR, WE EMBRACE THE DIFFERENCES OF THE THE WOMEN WE SERVE AND SEEK TO EMPOWER THEM REGARDLESS OF AGE, RACE, RELIGION PHYSICAL ABILITIES, ECONOMIC STATUS, GENDER IDENTITY, SEXUAL PREFERENCE, CITIZENSHIP STATUS, POLITICAL AFFILIATION, OR OTHER DIFFERENCE.
