MERAKEY PENNSYLVANIA OFFERS A BROAD ARRAY OF SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS IN PENNSYLVANIA, LOUISIANA, AND NEW YORK. IT HOUSES A FULL SPECTRUM OF SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS NEEDING SUPPORT FOR INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES, BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CHALLENGES, AND EDUCATIONAL NEEDS. THE FOCUS OF MERAKEY PENNSYLVANIA IN FY 2021 WAS MAINTAINING THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF THE INDIVIDUALS SERVED WHILE DELIVERING SERVICES IN THE CONTEXT OF A GLOBAL PANDEMIC. COMMUNITY AND CLINIC-BASED PROGRAMS ADAPTED TO VIRTUAL SERVICE DELIVERY AND CONNECTED INDIVIDUALS WITH INCREASING NEEDS TO COMMUNITY AND OTHER RESOURCES. THE INCREASED NEED FOR SERVICES LED TO AN EXPANSION OF ASSERTIVE COMMUNITY TREATMENT TEAMS TO NEW GEOGRAPHIES IN PENNSYLVANIA. SCHOOLS AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS OPERATED BY MERAKEY PENNSYLVANIA PROVIDED VIRTUAL INSTRUCTION FOR HIGH-NEES STUDENTS AND DEVELOPED RE-ENTRY PLANS THAT MET THE NEEDS OF STUDENTS WHILE PROTECTING THEIR HEALTH AND THAT OF THE COMMUNITY.RESIDENTIAL SITES FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES AND INDIVIDUALS WITH BEHAVIORAL HEALTH NEEDS PRIORITIZED THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF RESIDENTS. IN PLACES WHERE PROGRAMMING WAS AFFECTED DUE TO DISTANCING REQUIREMENTS, THE PROGRAMS ADOPTED TECHNOLOGY TO ENSURE THAT THE RESIDENTS REMAINED CONNECTED TO THEIR FAMILIES, SUPPORT NETWORKS, AND COMMUNITIES.
