THE 'ANNUAL OPEN' GRANT PROGRAM FUNDED PROJECTS AT UNIVERSITIES THAT WILL: 1.) DEVELOP A 3D IN VITRO MODEL OF A PEDIATRIC BRAINSTEM TUMOR, 2.) DEVELOP A 3D ORGANOID MODEL TO STUDY SPECIES-SPECIFIC RESPONSES TO ANTI-CANCER DRUGS, 3.) USE 3D BIOPRINTING AND BIOREACTOR GROWTH TO STUDY CELL MOVEMENT BETWEEN TISSUES DURING CANCER TREATMENT FOR CHRONIC LYMPOCYTIC LEUKEMIA, 4.) DEVELOP A "MINI-JOINT ON A CHIP" MODEL FOR OSTEOARTHRITIS RESEARCH, 5.) UTILIZE BIOREACTOR CULTURING TO REPLACE ANIMALS IN ORDER TO CULTIVATE A CRYPTOSPORIDIUM PARASITE FOR CHILDREN'S HEALTH RESEARCH, AND 6.)
