THE 'ANNUAL OPEN' GRANT PROGRAM FUNDED PROJECTS AT UNIVERSITIES THAT WILL ESTABLISH ENHANCEMENT FOR RESEARCHERS TO USE ADVERSE OUTCOME PATHWAYS INSTEAD OF ANIMAL TESTS, A COMPUTER BASED PIPELINE FOR ANTIBODY DISCOVERY, WHICH IS APPLICABLE TO MANY KINDS OF BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH, BUILDING COMPUTER DATABASES OF CHEMICAL INFORMATION BASED ON HUMAN EFFECTS, DEVELOPMENT OF A COMPLEX IN VITRO MODEL TO MEASURE PEDIATRIC EXPOSURE TO INHALED POLLUTANTS, AN ANIMAL-FREE APPROACH TO FOOD SAFETY TESTING, AND AN IN VITRO ANGIOGENESIS MODEL.
