THE SCHOOL HAS TRAINED DANCERS FOR THE PREMIER COMPANIES OF THE UNITED STATES AS WELL AS EUROPE, ASIA, AND BROADWAY. THERE ARE CURRENTLY ROCK SCHOOL DANCERS IN EVERY MAJOR BALLET COMPANY IN THE UNITED STATES AS WELL AS ABROAD. THE SCHOOL OFFERS A FULL RANGE OF PROGRAMS FOR ALL AGES. THE ROCK EXPERIENCE INSTILLS IN STUDENTS' SELF-DISCIPLINE AND AN EAGERNESS TO LEARN AND SUCCEED, ENRICHING THEIR LIVES REGARDLESS OF THE CAREERS THEY PURSUE. ANNUAL ENROLLMENT EXCEEDS 800 STUDENTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS OF OVER $350,000 ARE AWARDED PER YEAR FOR DANCE, ACADEMICS, RESIDENCY, AND OTHER PROGRAMS. DURING THE PERIOD SEPTEMBER 2020 AND AUGUST 2021, THE SCHOOL WAS FACED WITH CHALLENGES DUE TO THE IMPACT OF THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC SUCH AS REGISTRATION CAPACITY AND NO LIVE PERFORMANCES DUE SOCIAL DISTANCING RESTRICTIONS.
SUMMER - THE ROCK SCHOOL BALLET INTENSIVE IS A SELECTIVE, AUDITION-ONLY PROGRAM THAT IMMERSES ASPIRING DANCERS IN A COMPREHENSIVE EXPERIENCE WITH A SUPERIOR PERMANENT AND GUEST FACULTY. AN ESTIMATED 1,000 STUDENTS WORLD-WIDE AUDITION FOR THE PROGRAM THAT TEACHES APPROXIMATELY 400 STUDENTS.
ROCK WEST - THIS BRANCH SCHOOL HAS A LARGE, MOSTLY AVOCATIONAL STUDENT BODY OF 250 STUDENTS. IT OFFERS A FULL RANGE OF PROGRAMS FOR ALL AGES. ROCK WEST PRODUCES AND DEVELOPS TALENTED STUDENTS FOR ROCK CENTER AS WELL AS MUSICAL THEATER AND JAZZ DANCERS. AS WITH ROCK CENTER, THE ROCK WEST BRANCH SCHOOL EXPERIENCE INSTILLS IN STUDENTS' SELF-DISCIPLINE AND AN EAGERNESS TO LEARN, ENRICHING THEIR LIVES REGARDLESS OF THE CAREERS THEY PURSUE.
