ON SITE TEACHING THEATERS SERVE TWO PURPOSES. FIRST, EACH OF THE SIX THEATER SPACES CAN ACCOMMODATE UP TO FIFTY STUDENTS DURING VISITS TO OUR CAMPUS. IN ADDITION, THE TEACHING SPACES ARE USED FULLY WHEN DELIVERING LIVE, INTERACTIVE WEBCASTS TO SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITY GROUPS. THIS VIRTUAL CAPABILITY ALLOWS BYRNES HEALTH EDUCATION TO ELIMINATE ALL GEOGRAPHIC BOUNDARIES TO ACCESSING OUR HEATH CURRICULUM. ALL STUDENTS, WHETHER ON CAMPUS OR CONNECTED VIRTUALLY, EXPERIENCE THE CUSTOMIZED EXHIBITS THAT THE HEALTH EDUCATORS USE TO MAKE THE CURRICULUM "STICKY". ALL CURRICULUM IS MAPPED TO NATIONAL EDUCATION STANDARDS AND IS MAPPED TO EACH OF THE 50 STATES AND FOUR CANADIAN PROVINCES. ALL CURRICULUM IS CROSS CURRICULAR AND PROVIDES STEM EDUCATION.
OUTREACH DELIVERY MEANS OUR HEALTH EDUCATORS TRAVEL TO SCHOOL BUILDINGS AND COMMUNITY GROUPS TO DELIVER PROGRAMS. THIS ELIMINATES THE COST OF TRANSPORTING THE STUDENTS TO THE YORK CAMPUS AND ELIMINATES LOSING TEACHABLE MOMENTS WHILE TRAVELLING. HEALTH EDUCATORS TAKE SMALLER EDUCATIONAL TOOLS TO EACH LOCATION AS WELL AS ALL OF THE METRICS GATHERING TOOLS USED WHILE ON THE BYRNES CAMPUS.
E-LEARNING DELIVERY PLATFORM IS FOUND ONLINE AT WWW.LEARNTOBEHEALTHY.ORG. THE SITE IS AVAILABLE IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH AND THE CURRICULUM IS MAPPED TO EDUCATIONAL STANDARDS JUST LIKE THE OTHER THREE DELIVERY PLATFORMS. THE SITE CAN BE USED AS A REINFORCEMENT TO OUR FACE TO FACE DELIVERY, OR AS A STAND-ALONE RESOURCE FOR SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITY GROUPS. THERE ARE GAMES AND ACTIVITIES ON THE SITE THAT MAKE LEARNING ABOUT MAKING HEALTHY CHOICES FUN AND EXCITING.
