21ST CENTURY COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTERS CEF PARTNERS WITH THE CHESTER UPLAND SCHOOL DISTRICT (CUSD) TO PROVIDE AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMMING. TUTORING AND HOMEWORK ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED IN ACCORDANCE TO THE INSTRUCTIONAL PLAN DEVELOPED FOR EACH STUDENT AND WILL FOCUS ON READING, WRITING, MATH, AND STUDY STRATEGIES. CLUBS AND OTHER ENRICHING CULTURAL AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES AND TRIPS ARE IMPORTANT COMPONENTS OF THE PROGRAM. THE GOALS OF THE PROGRAM ARE TO: INCREASE STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT IN READING, WRITING AND MATHEMATICS A)IMPROVE SCHOOL-RELATED ATTITUDES, BEHAVIORS AND SKILLS B)INCREASE PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT C)INCREASE GRADUATION RATE OF PARTICIPANTS IN PROGRAM

SCHOOL-TO-CAREER PROGRAM CEF OPERATES THIS YEAR-ROUND YOUTH PROGRAM TO PROMOTE ACADEMIC SKILL- BUILDING AND WORK-READINESS TRAINING. SPONSORED BY THE DELAWARE COUNTY OFFICE OF WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT, THE SCHOOL-TO-CAREER PROGRAM ENGAGES UP- TO-100, 10TH, 11TH AND 12TH GRADE STUDENTS DURING THE SUMMER AND SCHOOL- YEAR IN TUTORING, COLLEGE AND CAREER PREPARATION ACTIVITIES AND PAID INTERNSHIPS AND WORK EXPERIENCE.


BLUEPRINT FOR SUCCESS CEF OPERATES THIS YEAR-ROUND OUT-OF-SCHOOL YOUTH PROGRAM TO PROMOTE ACADEMIC SKILL-BUILDING AND COLLEGE AND WORK-READINESS PREPARATION FOR 20 DELAWARE COUNTY YOUNG ADULTS, AGES 18-24. SPONSORED BY THE DELAWARE COUNTY OFFICE OF WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT (DCOWD), THE BLUEPRINT FOR SUCCESS PROGRAM PROVIDES OUT-OF-SCHOOL YOUTH WITH A STRUCTURED AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT TO PURSUE THEIR EDUCATIONAL AND CAREER GOALS. THE OVERALL PURPOSE OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO PROVIDE PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS WITH INTENSIVE, CULTURALLY RELEVANT SERVICES THAT ASSIST THEM IN DISCOVERING AND PURSUING CAREER PATHWAYS, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING IN THE IN-DEMAND FIELDS THAT WILL SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVE THEIR SOCIO-ECONOMIC TRAJECTORY.
