TO COLLECT AND SECURE FOR PRESERVATION, RECORDS, DOCUMENTS, LINEAGES, AND HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT DATA RELATIVE TO THE GENESIS AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE PRINCIPLES OF EQUITY AND LAW BASED ON, AND STEMMING FROM, THAT HISTORIC MOMENT COINCIDENT WITH THE RATIFICATION OF MAGNA CHARTA IN JUNE 1215 BY JOHN, KING OF ENGLAND, AT RUNNYMEDE MEADOW, NEAR STAINES-UPON-THAMES. B. TO SEE TO IT THAT SUCH DATA IS PLACED FOR SAFEKEEPING AND RESEARCH IN SUCH LOCATIONS AS MAY BE DEEMED APPROPRIATE FROM TIME TO TIME; TO THE END THAT THE GENERAL PUBLIC MAY HAVE ACCESS AND THEREBY GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF THE IMPORTANCE OF MAGNA CHARTA PRINCIPLES.

SCHOLARSHIPS PAID TO A LAW STUDENT AT WASHINGTON AND LEE UNIVERSITY AND TO A GRADUATE STUDENT IN MEDIEVAL AND RENAISSANCE STUDIES AT ST. LOUIS UNIVERSITY.


DONATION OF $3,500 TO SUPPORT THE MAGNA CARTA TRUST IN ENGLAND.


THE BARONIAL ORDER OF MAGNA CHARTA ("BOMC") MAKES ANNUAL DONATIONS TO ORGANIZATIONS THAT SUPPORT OUR GOALS AND SPECIFIC PURPOSES. DURING 2022, THE BOMC MADE A DONATION TO THE TEMPLE CHURCH IN LONDON, ENGLAND, AN UNAFFILIATED NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, TO ASSIST IN THE RESTORATION OF A 12TH CENTURY NORMAN PERIOD DOORWAY IN THE CHURCH. THE BOMC ALSO AWARDS ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIPS TO A STUDENT IN WASHINGTON & LEE LAW SCHOOL AND TO A GRADUATE STUDENT IN MEDIEVAL AND RENAISSANCE STUDIES AT ST. LOUIS UNIVERSITY. IN ADDITION, THE BOMC HAS MADE DONATIONS TO OTHER NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, SUCH AS THE MAGNA CARTA TRUST, WHOSE OBJECTIVES ARE CONSISTENT WITH THE PURPOSES OF THE BOMC.
