DOWNTOWN INC CONTINUED TO IMPROVE THE BUSINESS DISTRICT IN DOWNTOWN YORK BY HOSTING THE DOWNTOWN FIRST AWARDS AND SEMI-ANNUAL DOWNTOWN UPDATES, ORGANIZING DOWNTOWN EVENTS SUCH AS MONTHLY FIRST FRIDAY ACTIVITIES AND BUSINESS UPDATES, AS WELL AS ORGANIZING HOLIDAY DECORATING IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA. DOWNTOWN INC ALSO ADMINISTERED GRANTS WHICH INCLUDED IMPLEMENTING A TOURISM MARKETING PLAN, ESTABLISHING A MURAL DISTRICT, AND IMPROVING DOWNTOWN BEAUTIFICATION AND WAYFINDING. DOWNTOWN INC ALSO CONTINUED TO FUND THE DOWNTOWN "CLEAN-UP CREW" WHO WORK TO KEEP THE DOWNTOWN AREA CLEAN AND LITTER FREE.
