DOWNTOWN INC CONTINUED TO IMPROVE THE BUSINESS DISTRICT IN DOWNTOWN YORK BY HOSTING THE DOWNTOWN FIRST AWARDS AND SEMI-ANNUAL DOWNTOWN UPDATES, ORGANIZING DOWNTOWN EVENTS SUCH AS MONTHLY FIRST FRIDAY ACTIVITIES AND BUSINESS UPDATES, AS WELL AS ORGANIZING HOLIDAY DECORATING IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA. DOWNTOWN INC ALSO ADMINISTERED GRANTS WHICH INCLUDED PARTICIPATING IN AN ECONOMIC ACTION PLAN AND IMPROVING THE CODORUS GREENWAY. DOWNTOWN INC ALSO PROVIDED SMALL BUSINESS GRANTS TO MORE THAN THIRTY DOWNTOWN MERCHANTS AND CONTINUED TO FUND THE DOWNTOWN "CLEAN-UP CREW" WHO WORK TO KEEP THE DOWNTOWN AREA CLEAN AND LITTER FREE.
