PROVIDES PROGRAMS DEDICATED TO ENHANCING THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR PEOPLE LIVING IN POVERTY, ADULTS WITH MENTAL ILLNESS, VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, CHILDREN WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DELAYS AND THEIR FAMILIES, PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV-AIDS, AND OTHERS WHOSE NEEDS CAN EFFECTIVELY BE MET BY THE ORGANIZATION'S SERVICES AND PHILOSOPHY.

A CHILD'S PLACE - PROVIDES A NUMBER OF SERVICES SUCH AS A SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR PRESCHOOLERS WITH DISABILITIES, CHILD CARE, EARLY INTERVENTION, AND PRESCHOOL MULTI-DISCIPLINARY EVALUATIONS FOR CHILDREN FROM BIRTH TO FIVE YEARS, WITH THERAPEUTIC SERVICES IN SPEECH/LANGUAGE, PHYSICAL AND OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY, PSYCHOLOGICAL CONSULTATION, GENERAL SKILLS AND SOCIAL WORK. SERVED 122 CHILDREN IN CHILD CARE, AND SERVED 485 CHILDREN IN UPK (105) AND SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS (380).
HOUSING SUPPORT SERVICES UNITY HOUSE OFFERS SEVERAL HOUSING OPTIONS SO THAT ADULTS WITH MENTAL ILLNESS, PEOPLE WITH HIV-AIDS, AND PEOPLE WHO ARE HOMELESS CAN LIVE SAFELY AND SELF-SUFFICIENTLY IN THE COMMUNITY WITH DIGNITY AND INDEPENDENCE. SERVICES AND PROGRAMS INCLUDE CASE MANAGEMENT, COMMUNITY HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM, COMMUNITY RESIDENCES, HIV-AIDS EDUCATION AND OUTREACH, SUPPORTED HOUSING, TRANSITIONAL APARTMENT SERVICES, AND TRANSPORTATION. SERVED 37 ADULTS IN COMMUNITY RESIDENCES, 2 INDIVIDUALS IN SITUATIONAL CRISIS BED, 90 ADULTS IN TRANSITIONAL APARTMENT SERVICES, 35 WERE PROVIDED CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES, 146 ADULTS WERE SERVED IN OMH SUPPORTED HOUSING PROGRAM OR HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS, 52 SINGLE ADULTS AND 32 FAMILIES SERVED IN COMMUNITY HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM, 213 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED HEALTH HOME CARE COORDINATION.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SERVICES PROVIDES CRISIS INTERVENTION, A CONFIDENTIAL EMERGENCY THIRTY-THREE BED SHELTER FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN, HOUSING SUPPORT SERVICES, COUNSELING, SOCIAL SERVICE ADVOCACY AND ACCOMPANIMENT, CHILDREN'S SERVICES, PARENTING AND LIFE SKILLS EDUCATION, INFORMATION AND REFERRAL, LEGAL ASSISTANCE/REPRESENTATION AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE. 219 ADULTS AND 73 CHILDREN FOUND REFUGE IN THIRTY-THREE BED SHELTER, 1,552 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED NON-RESIDENTIAL SERVICES, 328 ADULTS WERE PROVIDED LEGAL AND SUPPORT SERVICES, 252 INDIVIDUALS PROVIDED TRANSITIONAL AND LONG-TERM RENTAL ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT, RECEIVED 1,474 CALLS FROM THE RENSSELAER COUNTY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE HOTLINE, 40 SURVIVORS PARTICIPATED IN DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SUPPORT GROUPS.
